Founded in 1962, the Cedar Rapids Skyhawks is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting aeromodeling in the Cedar Rapids area. The club supports local groups that work with young people, such as Tanager Place. Club members love to work with young student pilots to help them develop self confidence, and to become skilled pilots. The Skyhawks have recently developed a new and beautiful flying site. The new site will allows the people of Cedar Rapids and surrounding communities to better experience the fun and excitement of model aviation.
